Acanvas digital picture frame is a large-format digital picture frame which hangs on a wall and allows the owner to stream Fine Art America images to the frame using a mobile app.

The owner of the picture frame pays a monthly subscription fee for unlimited access to Fine Art America images. Think of Acanvas as "Netflix for Art".

Techniques

The techniques used in my lips collection. This is a combination of mixed media finished with oils. The background has collage, with a wash of watered down acrylic paint that was allowed to create drips as it dried. I then went in with an array of different markers and made markings on the underneath. After that dried I painted the lips on and glazed the entire piece with oil paints. Once the first layer of oils dried I then went in with more opaque oils to drip. Using a combination of different brush strokes I created a washy look with the oil paint. After the oil paint dry I then went in with Montana gold and allowed that to drip over the top. Each one was done a little bit differently but with the same techniques just in a different way. Since this piece was done in oils it took about a week to complete. I had to wait for each oil layer to dry.
