Hearts

In all of my oil paintings there is a heart. It is created in modeling paste before the paint is applied. I established this symbol on accident. On my very first oil painting (Mysterious Woman), I was making marks and something told me to add a three-pronged heart into the modeling paste before painting. I then started adding my washes and the heart picked up the paint so beautifully and looks amazing when it was done, that I decided to add this heart to all my one-of-a-kind pieces. It may or may not be added to acrylic and watercolor, but will always be on an oil painting. Sometimes the heart is very easy to see. Sometimes you have to really look for it. And, sometimes it just plain got lost, but it is there. So if you ever purchase an oil painting, be sure to search for that heart.
