"As we reflect on our lives let us not forget our past. The obstacles that we faced in youth have made us who we are today. Our accomplishments have made us believe in ourselves. Our failures have helped us to ultimately succeed. Our family have helped us to learn and grow. Our troubles have made us stronger. Embrace your past so that you may grow wise in your future."

My inspiration for this piece came from a contest I was going to enter called "Reflections". I ultimately did not enter it as I did not finish by the due date, but I did finish it. And I am glad I did because it helped to actually reflect and think. In doing so, I believe it helped me grow more as an artist.
